These are a great product. I coach AA and Major level baseball. They are a great tool for getting the younger players to catch above their head with a bare hand drill. Also allows for inside pitching drills without the possibility of getting hurt.

I have been using original Blue Zoomers for the past ten years. When my last pair broke I decided to try these Z2's. They are a little longer and narrower than original Zoomers. To me they seem to give a slightly more natural kicking motion but with a little less power than original Zoomers. I would rate Z2's better than the original Blue Zoomers, but only by a very slight margin. Both versions work well and make kicking fun.

After going on a 3 month backpacking trip, I'm so grateful that I had this little towel. I didn't have to worry about drying times and could just pack it. A few bad things about it: it sometimes can smell a little funky, but that's quickly cured by just running it through a washing machine; also, it can sometimes get some strange marks on it. Overall though, it's a great investment for the luggage space challenged.

I got this ball to use as a chair to bounce my baby while I am holding him and at the computer desk. I think it is excellent and has helped with better posture without any thought. I also end up doing some excerises on it, just because it is there. It does not have the ultra shiny surface as is noted in the picture. Also, it is a pretty standard size I believe and is not too tall for me. I can sit comfortably, with my knees at 90 degrees and I am 5'4". As for the reviewers that are not impressed with the pump: well, I don't care. I don't plan on deflating and inflating this thing again and again.

I've used this training for a triathlon during the cold winter months - or any day with bad weather - it's easy to set up and take down, and you can adjust the resistance to whatever level you need. One word of advice - find something to entertain you while you ride, because without outdoor scenery it can be a bit boring (I found headphones or movies to be most effective).

I spent well over $200 for this item in a regular bike store, as of today, Amazon has the best price.
It's a solid build, folds up nearly flat when not in use (a big plus for me with small space!), holds the back wheel steady and doesn't produce a huge amount of noise.
The guy at the store set it up for me, it took under 5 minutes. I folded it up and brought it home. Now I use my bike indoors everyday.
Make sure you don't overadjust the tension, or it will create too much heat. Just use your gears to adjust resistance. Other than that, everything is pretty much as simple as it gets.

I just got my CycleOps Mag indoor trainer this week and got my first ride in tonight. I have only been riding for about 6 months but I am at a point where when I dont ride I just dont feel good. With the days getting shorter and cooler getting time to ride after work was becoming impossible. Add to that after school activities for the kids and there just wasnt enough time in the day. I figure this will allow me to get some ride time in during the evenings without having to rush other activities. Plus I can still ride on the weekends if the weather is bad.

Setup was easy. The bike fits well (I have a Bianchi road bike) and feels stable. The adjustable resisitance allows me to ride at a good pace and get a good ride in while watching my favorite shows on the Tivo.

All in all I am completely satisfied with the trainer and recommend it as a way to stay in shape during the cold weather months.

I used to do a lot of road riding 20 years ago, so now I'm not really "in shape" for returning to road riding. I got this trainer when I bought a new road bike since I used to use an old fan based trainer, the fan was very noisy! I didn't like the idea of the mag trainer having a resistance selector via cable or having to get off the bike to adjust. The fluid trainers adjust resistance based on how fast the rear wheel spins... faster spin, more resistance... this makes it perfect for the training videos that are available... they say you should shift up or down and the resistance will then be easier or harder. Actually, most of the training videos I've seen use fluid based trainers (either cycelops or kinetic) anyway.

I do my exercise at night, usually when my family has gone to sleep. I wouldn't call the trainer very quite, but it's certainly not loud. I can be downstairs and the family asleep upstairs and it doesn't disturb them... even with the bedroom right above where I'm riding. I don't need to turn the TV volume up much to hear the audio.

This is a well build and sturdy trainer. It's not light, most of the weight is in the fluid and flywheel assembly, but the tube frame is very strong and looks well designed. It was very easy to assemble, it took about 5 minutes to figure out and put together. The hardest part was setting how much pressure to apply with the metal roller to the tire so it wouldn't slip when I sprinted and wasn't pressing too hard to cause the tire to heat up/wear faster.

I've done about 100 miles in the past week on it (got it last Sat!) and am looking forward to more.

BTW, it also works with mountain bikes, but the knobby tires are a lot louder than the slicks on my road bike, but I didn't buy it with plans to use my mountain bike since the gearing is so much lower for hill climbing, I don't think the resistance from the fluid would be enough for a hard workout since it wouldn't be turning as fast as a higher geared road bike (53:12 on the road bike verses 44:11 on the MTB)

Easy to assemble, and adjust for the bike wheel. Provides easilly adjustable resistance on the rolling wheel, and once going provides a nice steady rolling resistance. The CTS Time trial DVD in the box was a surprise, so I popped it in the player and tried my first ride. Having never done one of these spinning sessions before it was a lot of fun to get started, and a great work-out! Winter biking solved.

I received my Cycle Ops Fluid Trainer a couple of weeks ago and I am extremely happy with it. I have set it up in my office on hard wood floor with the mat and block that I bought seperately and it is extremely quiet. I can ride and watch TV without having to turn it up beyond normal. My office is on the 2nd floor of our house and my wife says she can hear me riding but it is not loud. I feel that I get a good workout and you can adjust the tension to your liking. I am really happy and look forward to using it all winter to get ready for the next Triathlon season.

This is a good quality product. It does its job in lifting the front wheel of my bike off the ground while I'm using my trainer. As previous reviews have indicated, the "climbing" aspect of this product only comes with stacking two on top of one another to create a hill. My goal with the block was just to raise the front wheel, so I've stuck with just one. I have found that the block sometimes gets caught or snags on the burbur carpeting it sits on, which is fixed by a few minor adjustments including placing a smooth mat underneath. I can't say I notice a difference in the various positions on the block, so I just keep it in the same slot each time. I too wish there were numbers or even indicators on each slot to indicate position. Overall, I like the product.

STIVE
the climbing block is the one accessory I would recommend to anyone buying an indoor trainer. It stabilizes your front wheel for those really intense workouts and the height of one is just enough to add a little something to your workout. My only dislike is that I wish the three grooves were differing heights, but then this is also a stackable item so I should stop being cheap and buy another one if I want more height.

This trainer is great. I have a basic trek mountain fat tire bike and it fits perfectly on the trainer. I was all ready to buy a real spinning cycle but decided to try this instead mostly due to space in my studio apt.I love spinning and I was having a hard time justifying two bikes in my small apt. I will address some of the points made by other posters:

The noise factor: yes,noisy but not THAT bad. I use to have a treadmill and that was noisy as well. If I spin during odd hours, I use the IPOD. Otherwise I blare my stereo. You can get the music loud enough to drown the noise out. I never got complaints from any neighbors when I had the treadmill. Its only 30-45 minutes anyway. If you are doing more than that, its not necessary anyway (speaking as a certified trainer).I suppose you could purchase the road tire to eliminate noise, but I just don't think its worth it. Also, If I want to take a quick ride outside, I would have to change my tire. Changing a tire for this trainer is not necessary. They told me at a bike shop once, that I could not use my fat tire on one these trainers. Its all about whether you can take the noise or not, I guess.

It comes fully assembled, really easy to slip your bike into. Easy to take bike off quickly as well, for a ride outside.

Workout is just like being on spinning cycle at the gym except if you try to do the lifts off the seat, like they do in the classes. It may be my bike, but it wasn't fluid when I tried this. This does not bother me.

If you put the bike on carpet, you do not need the front tire lifter/stablizer. The rear tire is not so high that you feel you are falling forward. If I had hardwood, I would get some kind of mat or get the front tire lifter just to keep the front tire stable.

Lastly, I am hard on any cardio equipment, meaning my workouts are intense and fast. This trainer keeps the bike very stable.
Another item that might help is getting peddle straps to keep feet from slipping forward. This item is also not necessary, but helpful.

GENY KIEFER
This is a very basic trainer with very little resistance. This really is best for beginner bikers.

In addition, the tension adjustment knob is made of cheap plastic which stripped and cracked within a few weeks. When I called the company for support they said that they didn't have any extra ones that they could send me. They told me I would have to mail in the entire unit to have it replaced. It certainly wasn't worth the cost shipping for a 30-cent piece of cheap plastic.

I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to take it somewhere to have a metal crank welded on to replace the cheap plastic adjustment knob. Until then, I have to use a pair of pliers to adjust the tension.

The unit is easy to setup and to get the bike setup on it. I didn't need to use the extra skewer that was provided but you may if you have an older bike.

I recommend you buy slick tires to use with this (and any other) trainer. I very quickly went out and bought slick tires for my mountain bike because the knobby tires makes too much noise. Even with the slicks the noise is louder than I would like, but this is not the unit making the noise - it's the vibration from the tires which you will have with any unit. Another thing that helped was setting up the trainer and bike on a set of foam floor pads to reduce tranmission of vibrations to the rest of the room.

This trainer is sturdy and straight-forward to setup. I suggest that you use the supplied axle/skewer if you don't want to visually damage the one on your bike. My axle had a black anodized aluminum lever that would soon be scratched up in the cast aluminum LH side axle holder. The RH side axle holder tends to "munch up" the plastic cap that covers the axle nut -- the 4 plastic ribs on my cap will eventually get smashed flat when adjsting the RH axle holder in. Note that these comments may apply to any trainer, not just the model being rated.

The trainer's frame rigidity could be better, but maybe I just tend to over-tighten the adjusters. The more you tighten the adjusters, the more the frame is spread apart as it clamps the axle in the bike. This is somewhat minimized when the supplied axle/skewer is used since there is no piece of plastic on the nut side to compress.

The lack of a quick adjuster lever would be a hindrance for those who want to frequently install/remove their bike from the trainer. On this model, the LH adjuster will not need to be moved after initial adjustment (after centering the bike tire on the roller). The RH adjuster must be loosened/tightened a dozen rotations to enable installation/removal of the bike. Of course, this is an $80 trainer, not a $250 trainer, so I can't complain much.

I see a few complaints about noise for this trainer. Please note that this has NOTHING to do with the trainer and EVERYTHING to do with the tires used. If you expect to place your mountain bike with knobby tires on the 1.5" diameter roller of this trainer and ride the bike in silence you are sadly mistaken. The fix is simple. Spend $25 on a set of tires with bald centers. I went with a good 26" street tire set that still maintains minimal off-road abilities. Look at the Kenda Kross Plus from Niagara Cycle Works. Or you could install a "trainer tire" that is completely bald/slick if you enjoy changing the tire every time you transition from indoor to outdoor riding. Your choice.

Overall, this is a good deal that qualifies for super-saver shipping. I got the trainer in something like 4 days. Note that this trainer is shipped in the factory packaging, not an Amazon.com box. This probably makes no difference to anyone but while reviewing this trainer prior to purchase I saw someone whining about this.
